Job Opportunity: Assistant Manager – EazyCity Dublin

 The Position

The tasks included in this position are as follows:

  • Working closely with the Branch Manager as leader of the Welcome team
  • Working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Organising the weekly tasks and delegating task to our young multicultural team including staff rotas, client check-ins/check-outs, welcome packs, weekly plans, maintenance appointments, inspections etc
  • Reporting to Branch Manager and higher management based at HQ in Cork
  • Keeping important files relating to room availability and arrivals, rent and cashflow updated regularly with a strong focus on attention to detail
  • Training new team members as required
  • Working with BM on weekly reports which are sent to Operations Co-Ordinator
  • Meeting and greeting new clients
  • Checking new clients into and out of their accommodation
  • Answering the telephone and taking messages
  • Taking rent payments (cash handling / credit card payments)
  • Dealing with customer issues/complaints and ensuring all is dealt with in a professional manner
  • Attendance at monthly / quarterly management meetings at HQ

 The Person

The ideal candidate will possess the following traits and skills:

  • Highly driven and motivated with mountains of energy!
  • Super-organised with an ability to multi-task, prioritise and work in a fast paced environment under pressure!
  • Has an understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service and a warm, friendly environment for new clients
  • An excellent communicator with a minimum of one year management experience
  • ‘Can-do’ attitude with a focus always on the solution never on the problem
  • Flexible, committed and passionate – we expect all our team members to be fully committed to their work and to always go the extra mile for the customer even if that means working late in the evening or on weekends or last-minute changes to the work schedule – that is the nature of our business
  • Fluent English along with another language which should be either French or Spanish
  • Additional languages are an advantage
  • Full clean driving licence an advantage

The Details

The general working hours of this position are 5 days per week between Monday-Sunday from 9.30 – 17.30. The office closes at 7pm on Wednesday.

As the Assistant Manager of a very busy branch full commitment and flexibility will be expected and if necessary extra hours may be required (time off in lieu granted) The ideal candidate will instinctively know when it’s necessary for them to work extra hours as the branch should be treated like it is your own business. Welcome Team Internship Position – Portuguese Speaker – EazyCity Dublin

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated, customer-focused, organised, and loves working with people. This is an unpaid internship for 6 months with the possibility of leading to a paid position for the right candidate at the end of this time period. Paid accommodation in a twin room is included with the internship, and a €10 monthly top up for your mobile phone.

The Details

The candidate will be required to work 5 days per week, this will include evening and weekend work. 2 days off per week are provided for all team members.

This is an unpaid internship starting as soon as possible and is a minimum 6 months in duration. Shared room accommodation inclusive of utilities is provided for interns in our properties.

Ideally candidates will have a good level of English along with Portuguse mother tongue. Additional languages would be an advantage.

Cloud computing giant Oracle is hiring 450 staff in Dublin.

Oracle is a company which help you to simplify your IT environment so you can free up money, time and resources to invest in innovation.

This company has more than 600 different cloud applications which can helps clients to manage their computing environment.

Oracle is going to create 450 sales jobs in Dublin offices in a European-wide expansion.  The jobs represent over a third of the 1.400 new sales positions announced for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. This recruitment will be focused in Amsterdam, Cairo, Dubai, Malaga and Prague, the further EMEA locations.

Oracle said that they are looking for sales professional with 2 or 3 years of professional experience in sales.

Indeed to create 300 new jobs in Dublin

Recruitment website Indeed is to more than double the size of its workforce in Ireland with the creation of 300 new jobs in Dublin over the next two years. Indeed, which opened its first office in the capital in March 2012, the group’s dedicated Irish site has over 800,000 unique visitors each month.

The company said it had already started recruiting for a number of new roles across sales, client services, business development, marketing, finance and operations. The announcement was welcomed by Taoiseach Enda Kenny who described it as a vote of confidence in Dublin.

Microsoft has announced a big investment in a campus in Dublin

We know the fact that Ireland is a great place for big companies (Apple, Amazon,Google…etc). Indeed the taxation system and the taxes are interesting inside this English-speaking country.

Recently, Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd, which is located in Dublin and in charge of the distribution, has announced a big project for the 30 year history in Ireland.

The leader on the software field will invest €134M for the development of the Leopardstown Campus and 150 jobs will be created during the construction phase. Up to know the total amount invested by the company in Ireland is €1 billion.

The campus will bring a strong and qualified workforce for the country. Cooperation between Microsoft and Ireland won’t stop soon.
